Now you can easily add data from Tornimo into the mix! Our open source Tornimo plugin has all the features you get when using Tornimo with Grafana hosted by us. You can still rely on our scalability as well as security thanks to encrypted communication and key management.

How to start?

To install Tornimo data source plugin you need to download it to your Grafana’s plugins directory, and then restart Grafana server.

Manual installation on server:

  • Connect to your Grafana server if necessary (e.g. via SSH).
  • Go to plugins directory (usually data/plugins under Grafana installation or /var/lib/grafana/plugins)
    cd /var/lib/grafana/plugins
  • Download tornimo-datasource zip file from releases:
    wget https://github.com/tornimo/tornimo-grafana-datasource/releases/download/v1.1/tornimo-datasource.zip
  • Unpack it there
    unzip tornimo-datasource.zip
  • You may remove the downloaded archive
    rm tornimo-datasource.zip
  • Restart Grafana

 
 

To run docker with this plugin installed execute:

docker run \
-d -p 3000:3000 \
--name=grafana \
-e "GF_INSTALL_PLUGINS=https://github.com/tornimo/tornimo-grafana-datasource/releases/download/v1.1/tornimo-datasource.zip;tornimo-datasource" \
grafana/grafana

Add plugin to your setup

  • Under configuration select Data sources.
  • Click Add data source.
  • Scroll down and select Tornimo.

Plugin configuration

Below recording shows steps required to configured the plugin. It shows following actions:

  • Copy Grafana backend URL from Grafana tab into Tornimo plugin settings.
  • Generate new API key here and copy into Tornimo API Keys field.
